The eDNAqua-Plan Blueprint presents a comprehensive vision for a future FAIR – and in particular interoperable, machine-actionable – digital ecosystem for environmental DNA (eDNA) and its omics and biodiversity data and metadata. The report synthesises outputs from the previous eDNAqua-Plan work package outputs, and identifies the operational, technical, and governance changes required to move from the current fragmented landscape towards a more connected and reusable digital ecosystem.
